This charity operates a project in Prestwick which provides both respite and residential care to a large number of disabled children and young people in South Ayrshire.
An application was received to fund half the cost of a new specially adapted vehicle for use by those attending the project and the Trust agreed to donate £10138.

Bobath ScotlandA request for funding was received from Bobath Scotland which provides specialist therapy for children with cerebral palsy, enabling them to better manage their problems and improve the quality of their lives.
The Moffat Charitable Trust has committed to donate £12000 per annum for three years to cover the cost of supporting 3 children through an intensive block of therapy at the Centre in Glasgow.

The Scottish Institute of Sport Foundation The Scottish Institute of Sport Foundation is an independent, business led partnership driving a Culture of Winning programme, with sport as the catalyst for producing more winners in all walks of life. Its vision is to help facilitate more Scottish winners in the 2012 Olympics and 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The approach of The Foundation is to invest in world class research and groundbreaking projects that develop and consolidate a practical application of the principles which underpin the performances of winners. The Foundation intends to inspire and enable both the sporting world and the wider community in Scotland to share in and embrace the positive effects of a winning culture.
The Moffat Charitable Trust is supporting the Positive Coaching Alliance project in the West of Scotland which is being piloted by The Foundation by providing a donation of £138000 over three years. This project is designed to educate coaches, athletes and parents into the double goals of winning and using sport to teach life lessons.

Visible Fictions Theatre Company This charity provides a unique education and participation programme which takes a different form from traditional theatre-in-education projects. Much of their work is with young people who are living in areas of multiple deprivation.
The Trust has given a commitment to assist with the funding of their youth theatre project in East Ayrshire by donating £10000 per annum for three years. There are four theatre groups in this area and each one puts on a production assisted by a team of professional practitioners who help the young people to understand all the different aspects of theatre.

The Urban Fox Programme This programme is based in the East End of Glasgow and provides opportunities for young people to participate in sporting and leisure activities. They also provide education and advice on a range of topical issues including drug awareness, smoking, alcohol and healthy eating.
The Trust is assisting with the cost of their Outward Bound Programme by donating £10000 per annum for 3 years. The Programme is designed to bring people together from different areas within the East End of Glasgow in order to break down territorial barriers, encourage communication, team building and participation.

The Ark Based in Ayr, this charity works with 11-18 year olds from throughout Ayrshire by providing a facility which operates as an alcohol-free night club and centre for young people. They also tackle issues such as alcohol and drug misuse, crime and anti-social behaviour.
Application received to assist with the salary costs of the Team Leader and Assistant Manager for a three year period, with the Trust donating £5000 per annum.

South Dennistoun Neighbourhood Centre Based in the East end of Glasgow, this Centre provides a range of social, recreational and educational opportunities which contribute towards improving the quality of life of the local people. Following the refurbishment of the Centre, a Centre Development Worker has been appointed with responsibility for the ongoing development of activities within the Centre. The Moffat Charitable Trust is donating £10000 per annum for 3 years to assist with the funding of this post.
The Safety Zone Communty Project This Project provides a purpose built centre which is used by different groups within the community of Bargeddie in Glasgow. Their main focus is children and teenagers and they provide activities to improve their social, educational and physical skills within a safe environment. Trustees agreed to donate £1000 per annum for 3 years to assist with running costs of centre.
